This year is a little interesting in how the Sundays and Christmas Eve and Day unfolded. These are our Worship Services for the week of Christmas:

• Sunday, 12/23/07, 10:30 AM: Sunday morning worship with Sunday School at 9 AM.
• Monday, Christmas Eve, 12/24/07, 7 PM: We gather together on Christmas for our annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service.
• Tuesday, Christmas Day, 12/25/07, 7 PM: Gather with us on Christmas Day at 10:30 AM as we celebrate God being with us, the birth of Jesus.

Our New Year’s Eve Worship Schedule is:

• Sunday, 12/30/07, 10:30 AM: Sunday morning worship with Sunday School at 9 AM.
• Monday, New Years Eve, 12/31/07, 7 PM: Join us as we reflect on the blessings we have recieved in the previous year and look forward to blessings from his gracious hand in the future.

This Sunday at 10:30 AM is our Children’s Christmas Service. This is a great opportunity for us to hear our children proclaim to us the miracle of Jesus, our Great God Above coming to earth to take on human flesh and become our brother.

Tomorrow, Saturday, at 11 AM we will be having one last practice to make sure everything is ready to go for Sunday. So, parents, bring your children and plan on staying for about an hour and a half.

Yep, it has snowed here in West Newton. Jack Mood has already plowed the driveway. And over here there doesn’t seem to be any ice. So, we’ll still be having our Midweek Advent service tonight at 7 PM.

Just so you know, my general plan of attack for when it snows is that if I can get over to church through the snow, then we’ll have a worship service. Unless it’s really icy out, then I’ll try and make sure that people know that it’s icy here.

Of course, while I’d like everyone to be here tonight and every time that it snows, I also want all of you to be safe too. So, use your Christian judgment.

This Wednesday we start our Midweek Advent Services.

Our themes this year is: We welcome Jesus, Our Prophet, Priest and King.

These are the times and dates:

• Wednesday, 12/5/07, 7 PM
• Wednesday, 12/12/07, 7 PM
• Wednesday, 12/19/07, 7 PM

After our last Midweek Advent Service on the 19th, we’re going to have a Christmas Party at Pastor Bauer’s house.
